A Horizons school student is caulking the casing of a doorway - filling up the places that you can see daylight - a good rule of thumb.
She's also installing a door sweep. It screws to the bottom of a door and has a rubber flap that keeps the draft out. She measured the door and cut the sweep to length. There are easier models on the market now, with peel-off tape, so one can just stick it to a door.
Another student put a jacket on a water heater. She cleaned the top of the water heater so the tape would stick and wrapped the hot water heater, sealing with more tape.
Tech student is putting foam board around the rim joist of the house.
This is a trap door to the basement from inside that is never used. Our ETEC team leader and construction hero put a rubber gasket around the opening and screwed that down permanently with carpet trim.
