This spot is for homeowners who wish to remain out of the public eye.

1
A Horizons school student is caulking the casing of a doorway - filling up the places that you can see daylight - a good rule of thumb.
2   She's also installing a door sweep. It screws to the bottom of a door and has a rubber flap that keeps the draft out. She measured the door and cut the sweep to length. There are easier models on the market now, with peel-off tape, so one can just stick it to a door.
3
Another student put a jacket on a water heater. She cleaned the top of the water heater so the tape would stick and wrapped the hot water heater, sealing with more tape.
4   Tech student is putting foam board around the rim joist of the house.
7
This is a trap door to the basement from inside that is never used. Our ETEC team leader and construction hero put a rubber gasket around the opening and screwed that down permanently with carpet trim.

ETEC team leader in a typical moment.

Here are the Horizons Alternative School heroes of the day.
9   Thanks, you guys!
